The Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation Department's "Volunteers in the Parks" (VIPs) program gives residents a way to stay involved with the upkeep of its parks, including at the Mountain Park and Lions Club parks, Mountain Park Aquatics Center and Activity Building and the Harmony Grove Soccer Complex in the Lilburn area.

The program offers a variety of volunteering opportunities including: Natural Resource Assistants (trail upkeep, stream clean-up); Greeters/Customer Service at park facilities; Park Operations (light janitorial and maintenance); Administrative (light clerical support); Program/Event Aides (interact with the public at a fun event); Service Projects (Eagle Scout projects, group projects, Girl Scout Gold or Silver Award projects).
