The Winokurs, who live in Hanarry Estates in Lilburn need your help to win a $250,000 Small Business Grant for their company, Stone Mountain Clay. 

The family-owned and run business has been open in Tucker for just over two years. Megan Winokur's dad, who is retired from his "real" job works for them as does their 10 year old son. 

Stone Mountain Clay manufactures clays and glazes for individual artists, schools, studios and more. Their products are used for everything from dishes, sinks, fireplaces, tiles, sculptures, etc.

"We have customers all across the continental US. All of our clays and glazes are custom formulas created in-house, and are closely-guarded secrets," says Megan.

Even in this weakened economy they have gained a strong foothold in the industry and the business development grant would be a huge step toward streamlining production and building a more efficient system. "We must get 250 votes by June 30, in order to remain in the running for a grant."
