Some of the biggest names in contemporary Christian music as well as several inspirational speakers will be part of the festival, lasting June 14-16. Here is a complete Atlanta Fest schedule.
Are you planning to attend AtlantaFest? We'd like to hear from you! You can leave a comment at the end of this article, blog about the experience on this site, or upload your photos from the event to our neighborhood picture gallery (or do all three!).
Christian recording artists scheduled to attend include TobyMac; Jamie-Grace, whose father is the pastor of a Stone Mountain church, Kingdom City Church; Jonny Diaz; Atlanta-based Casting Crowns; and Jeremy Camp, as well as several others.
Mark Richt, head coach of the UGA bulldogs, is among the scheduled speakers. Click here for a list of other Atlanta Fest speakers.
On the Atlanta Fest Facebook page, people wrote of their excitement to worship and travel to the park (some to Stone Mountain for the first time). On an Atlanta Fest group page, members left happy status updates about checking into the park's campground, and seeing their "Atlanta Fest family."
On Twitter, some of the festival's artists as well as attendees are tweeting about their plans.
Singer Jonny Diaz wrote on his Twitter page: "Libby and I are driving down to atl for a couple Braves / Yankees games. Then playing Atlanta fest on Thursday. Good times!"
