Inside the Police Reports: Thief Strikes Multiple Apartment Units

Gwinnett County police report that five apartment units were burglarized the same day at one complex very near Lilburn.

Building No. 16 got the brunt of a recent night of burglarizing at the Oakwood Vista apartments located in unincorporated Norcross, near Lilburn.

Victims living on Coleville Circle reported that numerous items were stolen by the culprit or culprits during the daytime hours on Sept. 24, possibly after 7 a.m., according to the police report.

According to reports, the apartment doors appear to have been pried or forced open. Once police learned of one incident, they checked other units and discovered multiple burglaries.

All but one of the burglarized units were in the same breezeway.

Items taken include expensive laptops and televisions.

Although police talked to neighbors, no one provided additional information. As of earlier this week, no arrests were made.
