Update: One Dead, One Wounded in Pucketts Drive Shooting

Investigators have developed a possible suspect in the double shooting in unincorporated Lilburn.

Updated: 12:40 p.m

One man was fatally shot and a woman was critically wounded in a shooting Tuesday morning on Pucketts Drive in unincorporated Lilburn.

Police found the victims after responding to reports of shots fired at the location, Corporal Edwin Ritter said in a statement. Both victims were taken to Gwinnett Medical Center, where the man died. The woman is in critical condition.

Investigators have developed a possible suspect and are still collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses, Ritter said. The shooting happened at about 6:46 a.m. Tuesday.

Several people were in the house at the time and at least one person witnessed the shootings. Ritter said he didn't know how many witnesses there are nor what the relationship was between the two who were shot and the others in the house.

The victims' identities won't be released until the next of kin can be notified.

(Editor's note: This update adds information about witnesses and corrects the day to Tuesday.)

This article says Thursday but was it actually this morning, Tuesday? I was on Pucketts this morning around 8am and there were several police cars and crime scene tape around a house... just wondering what happened.
