Police Make Arrest in Paxton Lane Killing
Brandon Mosley, 18, of Lilburn is accused of gunning down Angelo Larocca, 19, of Loganville.
Gwinnett Police have arrested and charged a suspect in the fatal shooting of a man found dead last month at a Lilburn-area apartment complex, a police spokesman confirmed Wednesday night.
Cpl. Jake Smith said Brandon Mosley was arrested Wednesday in connection with the shooting death on June 28 of Angelo Larocca at The Columns at Paxton Lane Apartments.
According to jail records, Mosley, 18, was charged with aggravated assault and felony murder. He is being held in the Gwinnett County Detention Center without bond.
Larocca, 19, of Loganville, was found dead in a breezeway at the apartment complex by a courtesy officer during a routine off-duty patrol of the complex. The courtesy officer, who is a Gwinnett County police officer, found the body at about 1:50 p.m. Witnesses reportedly heard two or three shots shortly before the body was found.
No motive has yet been given for the shooting. Smith said more information on the case will be released Thursday.
