A seven-run rally helped extend the baseball season another day for Providence Christian Thursday in the Class A championship series at Charlton County.
With their backs against the wall after losing the opener 6-3 to the Indians, the Stars scored seven times in the fifth inning of Game 2 to take a 13-7 lead en route to a 15-8 win.
The final game in the best-of-three series is scheduled for Friday at 1 p.m. in Folkston.
According to a report in the AJC, Austin Loyd and Max Broom had two-run singles in the rally. Austin Golden had four RBIs in the game.
In the first game, a late two-run home run by Charlton County’s Chris Smith, also the winning pitcher, broke the game open for the Indians.
