(Video) Atlanta Hunger Walk 2013: Lilburn Church Takes on Challenge

Members from Trinity Lutheran Church of Lilburn, Ga., were among the more than 10,000 walkers and runners in the Atlanta Hunger Walk/Run on March 10, 2013.

For another year, Trinity Lutheran Church in Lilburn joined thousands of walkers and runners in the annual Atlanta Hunger Walk/Run over the weekend.

The event took place March 10, 2013, and it was the 29th annual walk and run.

The church's crew donned yellow shirts, emblazoned with "Hunger Walk Pirates." In an attached video, shot by 10-year-olds Katelyn Bernarde and Charlotte Hope, church members mentioned why they participated.

The church, which has been a part of the Atlanta Hunger Walk/Run for multiple years, is historically one of the top teams for Lutheran Services of Georgia -- one of the six charities receiving funds from the walk.

This year's final tally isn't known yet for the team, but if history is any indication, they are poised to do well.

In 2010, the church raised $7,574. In 2011, it raised $11,569. And, in 2012, the church raised $12,591, said Lutheran Services of Georgia.
