The Friday Rant! Let it Out, People!

It's been a while, but we're back: The Friday Rant is here to save the week!

Rules: Just keep it clean and no name calling, business or personal.

My rant is pretty simple. I hate it when people complain about things that they can change, yet they do nothing to make a difference about their situation. I just don't get it! If you, and only you have the power to change your situation, why wouldn't you do something about it?

Like me, for instance. I've been a heavy guy for years. I've had bad eating habits and a bad exercise routine. My goal is to track myself and post my results weekly here on my blog. It gives me accountability and gives you some "biggest loser" type results to view. And I could use your encouragement. My start weight is 285 and my target is 235 to start. Straight up 50 lbs. Help me get there with you prayers and thoughts! This ought to be a fun journey.

On a side note, I will attempt my first 5K on Sunday in Atlanta and I'll let you know my progress this time next week!

I hate that DCSD says they "actively seek" & "value" our input then don't respond, don't answer questions, and ignore suggestions.

Gas prices. Can they stop playing with people and keep it at $3.00 a gallon? It goes down as low as $2.99 during travel type holidays such as Thanksgiving, 4th of July, and Christmas, and goes as high as $4 after the holidays. Is $3 per gallon asking for too much?

Traffic again. Don't wait until I'm up on you, and then pull out in front of me and then go 25mph in a 45mph zone! And what really kills me, isthere is no one behind me. could you not have waited a few seconds for me to pass and then you can poke all you want. grrrrrrr!

I agree Tammy, I am so sick of that. Also how come everyone puts their brakes on when there is no reason to, for instance on hwy 78 near mtn ind blvd, every single morning people are putting their brakes on for no friggin reason----STOP IT!!!!!!!!!

Shabby Chic - How about when you are coming up on a green light and people slow down and cruise in your lane with their left blinker on. THEN, they finally pop into the left lane just as the light is turning red! Crusie in the lleft lane provided!!!! Where did these people move here from? georgia drivers didn't used to be this asinine and annoying!

How about this - you go out to eat and you get a tall cup with a short straw, so the straw comes right to the end of the cup. Or glass. So you either get to look like an idiot trying to dig the straw up tall enough to use it, or you have to stick your fingers in your glass. Seriously, people, get taller straws or shorter glasses....

Ooh, ooh, one more. You're coming up on a light, let's say there's two lanes. Multiple cars in the other lane, nobody ahead of you. Somebody pops over into your lane, and then when the light changes, they don't go! I mean, why are you going to change lanes and get in my way and then not drive even as fast as the other traffic you just changed lanes to go around?!?!?!?

When people think wireless is an improvement in technology worth paying millions for when all it really offers is ... no wires, slower speeds, less security and a lot of radiation our kids don't need! UGH!
