Hi Mountain Park/ Lilburn Community! 

Basketball tryouts are this Sunday, November 11th.  Please note the locations and times below: 

  • 1st-3rd Grade boys and girls will tryout from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm at the Arcado Elementary School gym. 
  • 4th-12th Grade boys and girls will tryout from 3:00 pm- 6:00 pm at the Parkview High School gym. 

Late registration for basketball at Mountain Park youth Athletic Association is still open through Friday November 9th.  The cost is $170.00.

 

Who can play in the Mountain Park youth Athletic Association league?
MPAA (established 1976) is open to any child age 5 through 18 (age as of September 1st). You do not have to live in the Parkview/Mountain Park Community nor Gwinnett County. However, there is an additional $90.00 charge per player for any child not residing in Gwinnett County and this will be verified by Gwinnett Parks and Recreation Department. 18 year‐olds must be in high school.

This multi-use park has 44 acres that serve as a hot spot for youth sports for the Mountain Park Athletic Association with seven baseball and softball fields (including one that converts into a football field). Walkers and runners frequent the park for its calibrated one-mile paved trail (pets on leashes are allowed), which is connected to a wooded trail that winds along the backside of the park. The park also has six lighted tennis courts, three playground areas, two restroom areas, a pavilion, several picnic areas, a skate park and ample parking.
