How to Break Barriers to Emotional Eating Workshop with DeKalb Medical

Join the DeKalb Medical Nutrition and Diabetes Education Center this Thursday, May 22 for the special workshop “How to Break Barriers to Emotional Eating.” Eating disorders expert Virginia Porcello, Ph.D., LMHC, CEDS, will teach attendees how to take control of compulsive and emotional eating.

Porcello’s personal experience with emotional eating and journey to a healthy relationship with food prompted her to develop a structured, compassionate program for persons struggling with weight loss. Now with more than 25 years of expertise working with compulsive eaters and binge eaters, Porcello will help workshop attendees 1) connect to their inner conflicts and change the way they react to them, 2) acquire the skills and tools needed to control their eating habits, and 3) live in peace and treat their body with respect.
