Lilburn Farmers Market - August 16

The Lilburn Farmers Market is going to the dogs this week! Celebrating Dog Days of Summer, the market is excited to welcome all of our 4 legged friends with special treats and activities for them. The Lilburn Woman's Club Conservation program has filled goodie bags that will delight even the pickiest pup. Wading pools will be available for dogs to enjoy and pictures will be taken of all of these special visitors. Chef Stacy Maple will host a cooking demonstration creating dog treats at 6 pm. Gwinnett County Animal Control will host a dog adoption area. This will be a market you won't want to miss.

BusiNeighbor will be selling bottled water this week. BusiNeighbor's mission is to actively form valuable relationships with young people, the community, small business owners, volunteers and other non profits organizations to provide a better life for our neighbor regardless of race, gender or economic status. All of the proceeds from the market will go towards an upcoming event titled Baking for Babies to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Come learn more about this local organization.

Gwinnett Cooperative Extension is sending master gardeners to answer all of your gardening and landscaping questions. We appreciate their continued support of our market.

Music on Main Street will be providing music for us!

Mac the Cheese {Comfort} Food truck is returning to Lilburn tomorrow night. If you missed out last week, make sure you come and try some of their delicious ready to eat delights.

Due to the death of the active duty DeKalb police officer this week Poppi of Poppi's BBQ will be participating in the funeral (folding the flag) and unable to attend this week's market.  BUT have no fear!!!!!!! The girls, aka the brains of the operation, have got it under control!!!!! The BBQ will be as great as always and a portion of our proceeds will go to  C.O.P.S. of Georgia (concerns of police survivors). We hope to have lots of support for this worthy cause and we will be saving all the scraps for the fur babies who stop by our stand! 

Pappadelle's Pasta is bringing fall favorite orzos. Autumn Harvest (pumpkin, chestnut, & sage) and Sweet Potato Orzo.

Finch Creek Farms is bringing Charleston Grey Watermelon, Heirloom Sweet Potatoes, Lemon Basil, and assorted peppers, some rosemary as well.

TK Gourmet will have his amazing seafood (have you tried his crab cakes?). Blue Moon Creamery continues to bring amazing goat cheese products. Snellville Honey has locally produced honey. Java Genesis has locally roasted coffee. Red Cactus Café has amazing tamales and empanadas. A Gourmet Soap and Naturally for You have bath products that will make your day!
