Cookout for a Cause April 26

The cookout, which benefits the American Cancer Society, will be the day before the Lilburn Relay Rally.

 

The second annual Cookout for a Cause, benefiting the American Cancer Society, will be held Thursday, April 26, at Lilburn City Park.

From 11:30 to 1:15, you can get grilled hamburgers, hotdogs, sides, a drink and a dessert. A donation of $6 is suggested.

Proceeds go to the eighth Lilburn Relay Rally. The rally will be held the next day, on April 27. It will also be in the park, from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. There's no admission fee.

So far, 114 participants and 11 teams have signed up for the relay rally, and they've raised $6,850 to date, according to the Lilburn Relay Rally website. Click on the link for more information.

Last year, more than 200 participants raised almost $25,000 for cancer research.
