Gas prices seem to be holding steady. The lowest price reported to www.georgiagasprices.com for a gallon of regular in Lilburn on Tuesday was $3.41 (at 3050 Five Forks Trickum Road near Oak Road), and the highest was $3.49 (at , 612 Rockbridge Road at Lilburn Stone Mountain Road).

Happy anniversary: Twenty years ago today, Gwinnett College moved into its present location on Highway 29 in Lilburn. The college offers 11 academic and technical programs and includes the

Freedom. Today is National Freedom Day, honoring the day in 1865 when President Abraham Lincoln signed the 13th amendment, which outlawed slavery. President Harry Truman declared Feb. 1 to be National Freedom Day in 1949. Today is also the first day of Black History Month.

Stories. Cuban-born and Georgia-raised, storyteller Tersi Bendiburg has a unique perspective and a gift for recounting tales based on Latin American folklore. She's coming here this month for a story session at the Lilburn branch of the Gwinnett Public Library, on Saturday, Feb. 11. Bendiburg is experienced at enthralling kids with folktales enhanced by music, song and puppets, and provides a bilingual learning experience that's also fun.
