My, oh my, do I have another weekend packed full of fun things to do!  There are events for the basketball lover, the Poke'mon player, and more. It looks like the weather will cooperate for all the events, so grab your kids and go do something fun this weekend!

Why Go: Let your teen gamers get into the fun (and have a little exercise while they're at it) at this family-friendly event. The library has acquired a new XBOX 360, and wants to share it with everyone. Come out for this fun event.

Why Go: Have you always wanted to see the legendary Harlem Globetrotters perform? Well, this is your chance. Take the family and go experience a one-of-kind event.  In addition to their famous tricks and antics, they have implemented two new four-point spots (12-feet beyond the NBA's three-point line), which will lead to an even more exciting game to watch.

-Test Your Building Skills

What: Build a Basketball Game at Lowe's

When: 10 a.m., Saturday, March 12

Where: Your local Lowe's Store

Why Go: Your little builder (ages 5 and older) will enjoy building their very own toy basketball game with you or other family and friends. At the end of the event, children get to take it home and show everyone how it works!

-Poke'mon Madness

What: Poke'mon Mall Tour at Discover Mills 

When: March 12-13.

Where: Discover Mills Mall, 5900 Sugarloaf Parkway, Lawrenceville, GA 30043. (678) 847-5000.  

Why Go: Does your kid love Pokémon? Well then, this is the place to be this weekend. The Nintendo Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version video games will be at Discover Mills this weekend only. Your kids will get the chance to play the demo game and meet Pokémon characters: Snivy, Tepig and Oshawott, as well. The mall is hosting several other activities, including contests and prizes.

BONUS: Free movie -- Pokémon—Zoroark: Master of Illusions, a feature-length film to be shown at the AMC movie theatre. Showtimes are 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m., and 6 p.m. Limited tickets are sold only at the Pokémon information booth, so come early.

What: "Aladdin and his Magic Lamp" at Gwinnett Center

Where: The Gwinnett Performing Arts Center, 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway, Duluth, GA 30097  

When: 7:30 p.m., Friday, March 11;  2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., March 12-13.

Why Go:  This beloved children's folktale comes to life on stage by the dancers from both the Southern Ballet Theatre and Lawrenceville School of Ballet.  Follow the magical story of Aladdin and his magic lamp as he makes his wishes, fights an evil sorcerer, and falls in love with a princess. Best for children ages 4 and older.

Pricing: Prices start at $14.50. Advance price tickets are cheaper than at door. Go online for more details.
