After winning a contest back in April, the Gwinnett County Public Library will soon collect its prize — a truck full of "Dummies."
In celebration of its 20 years of publishing the “For Dummies” series, Wiley Publishers gave away over 1,600 copies of its “For Dummies” books to the library with the most “Likes” on its Facebook page dedicated to the how-to books. For two decades, the series has helped readers learn with titles covering everything from “Korean for Dummies” to “Homebrewing for Dummies.”
The contest ended April 30, and Lawrenceville won with 5,002 fans. In second place was the Salem-South Lyon District Library in South Lyon, MI with 3,803, while the took home third with 2,418 fans.
The books will be delivered to the Lawrenceville Branch on Wednesday, Aug. 3 at 10 a.m. where they will be unloaded from the truck. From there, they’ll go to the Magnolia Room where they will be labeled with and branches.
