The grant is one of 11 from the Atlanta Regional Commission.

The Lilburn Community Improvement District is the recipient of one 11 Livable Centers Initiative grants from the Atlanta Regional Commission.

The CID will receive $60,000 to help pay for the urban design study of the Lawrenceville Highway corridor. The project will improve the appearance of the area by using landscaping, streetscapes, pedestrian access, signage and more.

“We greatly appreciate the Atlanta Regional Commission recognizing the value of the CID’s success in bringing the urban design study to life,” said CID Executive Director Gerald McDowell in a release. “This is one of many efforts underway to increase access, raise property values and support job growth. Our stakeholders are eager to see the results of this work advancing.”
