Lilburn Easter Egg Hunt March 31

The Easter Bunny will be there with 4,000 eggs.

The Lilburn Downtown Development Authority is bringing back a popular event -- the city's Easter Egg Hunt, which will be held March 31 in Lilburn City Park from 10 a.m. to noon.

The egg hunt is free, and everyone is invited. Bring your basket, the DDA says, because there will be 4,000 eggs to find. Sorry, parents, but you're not allowed on the field except to help 1-3-year olds.

The Easter Bunny of course will be there, and kids will have an opportunity to have their photos taken with him.

Prizes will be given in each division for finding the "prize egg."

The DDA is looking for sponsors for this event and for organizations that would like to sell food, doughnuts or beverages. Please email Lilburn Patch Editor Theresa Waldrop, theresa.waldrop@patch.com, if you'd like to be a sponsor or sell food or drinks. She will forward your messages to the DDA.

The Downtown Development Authority is excited to offer Easter eggs at the hunt that were made by Springfield Workshop, which offers employment to people with disabilities.

The rain date is April 7 from 10 a.m. to noon.
