-   Jessica Solomon, 13

-   School: Eight grade, Trickum Middle School

-  Accomplishment: Jessica won CredAbility’s regional “Be Money Wi$e”  financial literacy poster contest. The entry Jessica sent to the nonprofit credit counseling agency was judged tops for middle-schoolers in metro Atlanta, based on creativity, artwork style and expression of the theme, “Be a Super Hero and Save Money.”

- Key to Her Awesomeness: Jessica created several drafts of her poster before working on her official 11” X 17” entry. The precocious eighth-grader said she is a big fan of anime, but knows that even original versions of the art form are often presumed to be derivative, so she incorporated Victorian influences to make her work clearly original.
