The event is scheduled for 5 p.m. - 10 p.m., Feb. 18, at Lilburn City Park. There will be an opening ceremony, cancer survivor’s lap, luminaria ceremony, and live music.

Money raised at the Lilburn Relay Rally will be forwarded to the Gwinnett County Relay for Life, which is held in May to support the American Cancer Society’s research and awareness programs.

This is the ninth year for the Lilburn Relay Rally, which was founded in 2005 by the city of Lilburn and the Lilburn Woman’s Club. It began to support the Gwinnett County relay, which is dubbed the largest in the world.

If you'd like to join the efforts, it takes five or more people to form a fundraising team. Log on to www.lilburnrelayrally.org to register your business or community organization.

If forming your own team is not an option, check with the Lilburn Woman’s Club about joining its "Women in Action" team. Visit www.lilburnrelayrally.org and click "join an existing team."

To sponsor the event, contact Gail Zarnik, co-chairwoman for the Lilburn Relay at gailz18@aol.com or 770-982-9828.
