Lilburn's Trinity Lutheran Church Leads in Hunger Walk

The Lilburn congregation is noted as being one of the most productive teams for Lutheran Services of Georgia.

In just a few weeks, walkers and runners from all over Georgia will commence for the 2013 Hunger Walk/Run in Atlanta. There, in the crowd, will be a Lilburn team credited for being among the top teams.

According to organizers, Trinity Lutheran Church is one of the most productive congregations that participates with Lutheran Services of Georgia, which is one of the six selected charities receiving funds from the walk.

The church's work is highlighted by Lutheran Services of Georgia in a Feb. 13 posting by the organization.

In part, the church has been motivated by the death of Ken Bosler, a longtime member and Hunger Walk captain. He died from cancer in 2010, and the congregation wore T-shirts honoring him that year in the Hunger Walk.
