Local Dance Studio Performs 'The Wizard of Oz'

Simply Dancing students will perform classic at the Gwinnett Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, June 1.

If you're looking for some mid-week, family-friendly, summer break  entertainment, 's company dancers will perform "The Wizard of Oz," at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, June 1, at the Gwinnett Performing Arts Center. It is the students' last performance of the show.

Tickets are $15; $10 for children.

Several classes of dancers are part of Simply Dancing. The company dancers, who are between the ages of 8 and 18, are so called because they audition to be in the company, audition for roles in the ballet, participate in extra performances and rehearsals throughout the year, and dance several days a week.

The students began rehearsing "The Wizard of Oz" in October. They performed the ballet once in February.
