Opening Night: Lilburn Idol, 2012
The talent was abundant in Lilburn on Friday night!
More than 59 contestants will be vying for the Lilburn Idol title in the coming weeks; 21 of those entertained a good sized crowd at City Park for Lilburn Idol I.
In its ninth year, Lilburn Idol is an opportunity for talented people of all ages to get in front of a welcoming crowd and make themselves known.
The organizers and team of volunteers seems to have it down to a science and from our vantage point near the front of the stage, performances went off — for the most part — without a hitch.

Emcee Diana Preston told us that she loves seeing all the artists "put their all into performing and we know we are creating memories as we watch parents, siblings, and friends cheering on their favorites."
Some previous participants have graduated from Lilburn Idol to major in music and some are performing professionally.
