This week, we offer a list of summer camps with a variety of themes.
Camps offered at Gwinnett County facilities offer a wide-ranging selection of camps throughout the summer. The and Activity Building has the following camps: Little Bit, Mix It Up, Drawing and Painting, Cartooning and Chess. Costs range from $60 to $125. For more info on all that Gwinnett has to offer, click on the following links: Summer Day Camps: ages 4-14, camps feature art, swimming, dance, games, outdoor exploration, and many other fun activities. Tennis Camp: all levels welcome. Tennis offerings include league play, junior tournaments, classes, camps, lessons and team coaching. Basketball Camp: $150, 7 years to 18 years old. A Camping We Will Go: $60, 4 years to 5 years old. Art Camp: $100, 6 years to 10 years old.
Held for nine weeks, beginning May 31 at . Open to kids from Kindergarten through the fifth grade. Hours 7 a.m.- 6 p.m. Registration fee is $150, weekly tuition $100. Theme-oriented programs include arts and crafts, field trips and swimming. Info: 678-344-3575.
The Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville exposes kids of all ages to acting, singing, dancing and performance production. Camps begin the week after school lets out. Costs range from $175 to $475. You can register here.
The school holds summer programs that teach young dancers (ages 3-6 and 7-9) techniques ranging from jazz to tap to ballet. All are taught by professional instructors. Costs range from $76 to $265, depending on the session. Lilburn School of Ballet also holds a Summer Intensive Workshop for intermediate and advanced dancers ages 9 and up. Cost is $405.
KinderCare offers 12 unique and fun camps for pre-school/pre-K and school-age kids at its centers throughout the area, including the Lilburn location on Rockbridge Road. May through August. Click here for more information.
Get schooled with rehearsals and instruction on instruments, hand chimes, percussion and voice. Held June 14-18, 10 a.m. at 1826 Killian Hill Road (Trinity Lutheran Church). Cost is $150.
