Art Alliance to Host Public Showcase

The Lilburn Art Alliance will hold an art exhibition Jan. 12, and the public is invited. Anyone interested in joining the alliance may attend the event, as well.

The Lilburn Art Alliance will host its first exhibition on Saturday, Jan. 12, and the public is invited, according to a press release from city officials.

The event will feature local artists, including Susan Boudreaux, Diana Dice, Teri Enfield, Alan Harp, Gwendolyn McDonald, David Raderstorf, and Peggy Sullens.

The art showcase takes place 1-6 p.m. at 107 Main Street in Old Town. Sprig restaurant, located in Decatur, is providing complimentary appetizers and wine. Music on Main Street will provide entertainment.

In addition to enjoying the local art, the Lilburn Art Alliance hopes interested residents will join efforts to promote public art projects throughout the city.

The group's mission is to create works of public art, support local artists of all kinds, and create studio space in Old Town Lilburn.

"I hope that the Lilburn Art Alliance will be a catalyst to harness the artistic energy in this city," Mayor Johnny Crist said in a press release. "We have a lot of talented artists here in Lilburn and a cultured community that appreciates the fine arts. The Art Alliance will help bring them together."
