Some students from the Suzuki Violin Studio of Mary Alice Rhodes will present a concert to benefit the people of Japan as they work to recover from the recent disastrous earthquakes and tsunami.
The concert will feature violinists ages 5-15.
There is no charge for the concert. However, an opportunity will be provided to make donations to benefit the people of Japan.

Two students who attend Mountain Park UMC originated the idea of doing the benefit concert. The Suzuki Method of Violin Instruction was developed by Japanese violinist Dr. Shinichi Suzuki.
Mary Alice Rhodes and her violin students have a special relationship with the Consul General of Japan in Atlanta. Her students have played at many special events hosted by the Consulate, including JapanFest, Japanese Children's Day and a holiday dinner where the guest of honor was the Under-Secretary General of the United Nations.
