Parkview Orchestra Spring Fling

When/Where: Thursday, May 5, 7 p.m., , 722 Rockbridge Road, Stone Mountain

Why Go: The orchestra kids at will perform duets, trios and quartets of different genres for their Spring Fling show this year. And if that isn't enough, dessert and coffee will be served after the music, too.

Oyster Barn Trivia Night

When/Where: Friday, May 6, 8:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m., , 411 Beaver Ruin Road, Lilburn.

Why Go: Put your thinking hats on, and it may pay off. Oyster Barn is having its weekly trivia this Friday with possible prizes to follow. Check out their Facebook page on Friday to see what this week's free answer is. If trivia isn't your thing, Oyster Barn also has Keno, billiards, darts and chess to occupy your time while your teammates answer the questions for you.

Pricing: Free.

BSA Troop 549 Yard Sale

When/Where: Saturday, May 7, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Mountain Park United Methodist Church, 1405 Rockbridge Road, Stone Mountain.

Why Go: The Boys Scouts of America Troop 549 is having its annual yard sale this weekend with tons of donated items from clothes to household items to toys. Check it out; everything that doesn't get sold goes to the . Community members can also donate items beforehand to be sold in the sale.

Pricing: Free to browse.

Tucker Road Race

When/Where: Saturday, May 7, 7:45 a.m., Tucker High School, 5036 Lavista Road, Tucker.

Why Go: Going strong for 56 years, the annual road race in Tucker is back. Joggers and walkers can either take part in the one-mile fun run at 8 a.m. or the 5K race at 8:30 a.m., with warm-up times starting 15 minutes before each race. Funds go toward the Tucker High School Band, which will be performing before the race. Former Olympics gold medalist Mel Pender Jr. will sign autographs and present awards at the race, too.

Pricing: Pre-registration is $20 for adults and $10 for youths 12 years and younger; day-of registration is $25 for adults and $15 for youths.

Snellville Days

When/Where: Saturday, May 7, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Sunday, May 8, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Briscoe Park, 2500 Sawyer Parkway, Snellville.

Why Go: The 38th Annual Snellville Days returns to Briscoe Park this weekend with a parade; tons of children's activities such as a double-decker bus, a pirate ship, slides and obstacle courses; and more than 150 handmade craft and food vendors. Live entertainment will take the stage all day, from the band Restless Heart to performances by Skin and Bones, a kids' troupe filled with clowns, comedy and trained animals. 

Pricing: Many activities require tickets, which prices range depending on how many tickets you buy. Check out the prices here. An unlimited tickets pass costs $15. 

11th Annual Smoke Rise Open Car, Truck and 
Motorcycle Show

When/Where: Saturday, May 7, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Smoke Rise Baptist Church, 5901 Hugh Howell Road, Stone Mountain.

Why Go: Eleven years in the running, the car show at Smoke Rise Baptist Church has featured everything from Ferraris to race cars to driving antiques. Dozens of trophies and door prizes will be awarded, and concessions will be available, but participants and spectators are welcome to bring their own beverages and food. The cars that win Best of Show and Pastor's Choice (given by the church's Dr. Bob Browning) will be announced at the end of the show.

Pricing: Free for all, even those who want to enter their cars into the contest.
