The popular Christmas concert given by the Sugar Hill Latter-day Saints choir will cover three days and two Gwinnett sites in 2012, according to a news release.
The eighth annual event will be held December 16 in Lilburn, at the LDS multipurpose building located at 1150 Cole Drive near Parkview High School.
The choir also performs December 8-9 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ Church, at 4833 Suwanee Dam Road, near North Gwinnett High.
All the concerts will begin at 7 p.m.
This year’s concerts will feature special musical performances by accomplished violinists as well as music that includes traditional and unfamiliar Christmas songs that will become new favorites, the release said.
“One of the purposes of our concerts is to give families a chance to experience an evening of live music together at a budget that anyone can afford – for free,” said Pamela Gates, director of the choir.
“We’re excited to continue this musical tradition each year for our communities and are pleased to provide another location option convenient to those who live east of I-85.”
This choir has participated in various events in Gwinnett County and northeast Georgia. Also, the group has been extended an invitation to sing at the 2013 National Day Memorial Choral Festival at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.
