Moms Are Special Guests at Symphony
Gwinnett Symphony Orchestra and Chorus presents "Something Old, New, Borrowed and Blue — A Mother's Day Celebration" Monday night at the Performing Arts Center at Gwinnett Center in Duluth.
Moms will be admitted for a penny (with the purchase of another ticket) to the Gwinnett Symphony Orchestra and Chorus presentation of Masterworks III , “Something Old, New, Borrowed and Blue — A Mother’s Day Celebration” Monday night at the Performing Arts Center at Gwinnett Center in Duluth.
The performance begins at 7:30 p.m.
The program includes selections that fit into the theme: Old (Mozart, “The Marriage of Figaro, Overture”); New (Rene Clausen’s “Memorial,” composed in memory of the events of Sept. 11, 2001); Borrowed (Rachmaninov, “Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini”) and Blue (Gershwin, “Rhapsody in Blue”).

Showcased will be this year’s winners of the GSO and Chorus Rising Star Concerto Competition, and a special-guest performance by pianist David Watkins.
Tickets are $10 for students and seniors, and $13-$25 for adults. Buy tickets here.
