New Lilburn Theater Holds Auditions

Child and adult actors, singers and dancers are sought for 2011-12 performances.

The new Lilburn Cultural Arts Center is looking for performers for its scheduled shows during the 2011-2012 season.

The community theater, located at 4230 Lawrenceville Highway, is holding auditions beginning at 4 p.m. Saturday to find child and adult actors, singers and dancers.

Shows scheduled this season include “The Odd Couple,” “Aida,” “Alice in Wonderland, Jr.,” “Annie,” “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever,” and “High School Musical.”

The new theater, which opened last month in the Lilburn Crossing shopping center, is owned by the Melanie Thornton Youth Arts Foundation, a non-profit organization that aims to empower youth through the arts.
