Antique Dealer Designs Repurposed Jewelry With Old Doll Parts and Victorian Smalls

One-of-a-kind Victorian necklaces by antique dealer Cheryl Alexander are small works of art!

Cheryl Alexander is well-known at Antiques In Old Town, where she has been a dealer for many years! Her booth, immediately to the right as you enter the shop's large glass doors, can take your breath away. I started out as one of her dedicated customers. Later we became good friends, setting up together at the Lakewood Antiques Show at the fairgrounds south of Atlanta. It was a sad day when that show closed!

An antique dealer for over 30 years, Cheryl has been featured in magazines, including Harris Publication's "Cottage Style" and Mary Engelbriet's magazine"Home Companion." Her home was filmed for Mary Emmerling's "Country at Home" for three episodes on HGTV.

Two years ago, Cheryl started making repurposed jewelry, taking bits and parts of small treasures, turning them into something new. She has added her jewelry collection to her antique booth that is always brimming with cottage-style furniture, architectural pieces, Victorian doors and garden items.

"I look for antique pocket watches, old rhinestone necklaces, skeleton keys, small leather or mesh coin purses and tiny porcelain doll parts to include in my necklace designs."

Each necklace is a small work of art and a one-of-a-kind creation. The delicate doll parts and rhinestones are full of Victorian romance, while the old pocket watches add a touch of Steampunk, which is a popular trend today.

"I don't wear a lot of jewelry, myself, but I enjoy seeing others wear it!"

Cheryl's jewelry is amazing! I own several necklaces myself. It is hard not to give into temptation when you look at these charming pieces and even harder to decide which you like best. The photos of her jewelry tell the story!

Cheryl will be at The Country Living Fair  in Stone Mountain in October. This is the much anticipated antique show put on by "Country Living Magazine."

Meanwhile, visit Cheryl's booth at on Main Street, to see her jewelry creations. In fact, if you haven't visited the shop you have missed one of the best antique shops  in Lilburn and the metro Atlanta area.

Thanks to Greg Williams for the wonderful detailed photos of Cheryl's jewelry. Greg has his own on Patch where he talks about photography.
