1910 Public House Update: Job Fair, Training and New Open Date

The new restaurant in Old Town Lilburn gave Patch an update on what's going on.

The new restaurant in Old Town Lilburn is finally in the last stages of getting ready for its grand opening.

After an initial opening set for June, and then July, and then early August, 1910 Public House aims to open for dinner on Monday, Aug. 26, according to manager Danny Yike.

Until then, there are still lots to do.

"Any super handy people that want to help us put together shelving and tables?" one status update said on 1910's Facebook page. "We are getting to the final stages. Free to help contact jennifer at jennifer@sprigrestaurant.com."

On Thursday (Aug. 15) from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., the restaurant also is having a job fair. Stop by the 107 Main St. location if you're interested in being hired as a cook, server, or a kitchen manager, for either full-time or part-time.

Next week, the staff will undergo training so that everything's set with the new-new proposed open date, Yike added.

1910 Public House, which will serve Southern comfort food, will be split into two parts: The right side of the restaurant will be the recognizable sit-down restaurant with service and waiters, and the left side will be a less formal market. Complete with a garage door and outdoor seating, the market will be a place where customers can grab a cappuccino and chicken biscuit in the morning, pick up a box lunch during work, and buy packaged potato chips and pimento cheese throughout the day.

The Lilburn business will be owners Anthony and Jennifer Tiberia's second restaurant, next to Sprig in Decatur.
