Best Black Friday Deals at Target, Walmart and Other Retailers

Black Friday starts early this year at major stores in and near Lilburn. Here are the best Black Friday deals around.

If you're going to brave the throngs of shoppers on Black Friday, you may need a little help (and a lot of patience).

Big-box stores are opening earlier that ever before, creating a sort of "gray" Thursday on Thanksgiving Day.

Toys 'R Us, Walmart, and Kmart open their doors at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving. Target opens at 9 p.m. All stores have locations in or near Gwinnett County.

Many others open at midnight or very early Friday morning. Several stores are offering waves of doorbusters. Many are also advertising online deals, which include free shipping, and Black Friday prices all day on Thanksgiving.

TOYS 'R US: 8 p.m. Thursday      

Why go: They call this their “lowest prices ever" sale and flaunt more than 200 doorbuster deals

WALMART: Three sale events: first at 8 p.m. Thursday, second at 10 p.m. Thursday, third at 5 a.m. Friday.

OLD NAVY: "Cheermageddon" hits at midnight on Thanksgiving and lasts until 4 a.m. Some local stores are open 9 a.m.- 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

  • One last bit of practical advice for dedicated Black Friday shoppers, we can’t state it enough: Many sales are happening late at night and into the wee hours of the morning so bring a buddy and be safe!
