Located on Main Street in Stone Mountain Village is . The 18 year-old cafe is instantly inviting with its beach and seashell inspired knick knacks, a vintage train set creating a unique border around the dining room and collectible tin Coca-Cola wall hangings. 

The family-owned cafe specializes in American cuisine with many seafood options available. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual and the service is quick and attentive. Regular diners chat amicably with the owner at the bar or take their favorite food items to go.

Along with a traditional menu, daily specials are written on personalized blackboards and placed on each dining table. Menu highlights include the Beer Battered Shrimp, Chicken Roma and Garlic Shrimp Pasta; all of these items come with side offerings of twice-baked potatoes and a vegetable medley.

A recommended dish is the Beer Battered Shrimp with vegetables and a twice-baked potato. The shrimp were crisp, lightly seasoned and served with a traditional cocktail sauce, while the vegetables were crisp and marinated in its own sauce. The twice-baked potato had a cheesy outer later with a firm skin, and was the perfect pairing with the shrimp and vegetables.

The dining room of Wells Cargo Cafe is rather small, which creates an intimate dining experience. Friday nights appear to be busy for this spot, so make sure to either come early (dinner is served at 5:30 p.m.) or make a reservation. Alcohol is available.
