Business Spotlight: Old Town Flowers & Gifts

Nikki Fields opened Old Town Flowers & Giftsin 2008. Located at 79 Main St. in Lilburn, Fields offers her customers an assortment of floral choices and gifts by local and national artists. I recently sat down with Nikki to talk about her flower shop.

Patch: How did you become a florist?

Nikki: I've been doing this since I was 18. My mother started Beth's Flower Shop in Tucker and I worked over there for 20 something years. After my mother got ill, God opened this door and it's been a blessing ever since. I live just down the street and I'm local so it's very convenient.

Patch: What's the best aspect of owning your flower and gift shop?

Nikki: Personalized service for my customers. I enjoy meeting and talking with them. I like making people happy.

Patch: What is the most challenging aspect of owning Old Town Flowers & Gifts?

Nikki: Nothing is really challenging because I love what I do so much. I love everything about it that it's not even like a job because I enjoy it so.

Patch: What makes this store unique?

Nikki: I really listen to my customers and I always add special touches that go above and beyond what they want. I always arrange the flowers as if I was getting them myself. I like to make each order special.

Patch: What makes the Lilburn community special?

Nikki: Definitely the people. My customers are really special and I love all of my neighboring business owners along this street. Everybody is so friendly and helpful and always willing to lend a hand if you need.

Old Town Flowers & Gifts is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
