CiCi's Pizza on Rockbridge Road Closes

The franchisee closed the eatery on Nov. 8, according to a CiCi's executive.

If you drove by the CiCi's Pizza in the Stone Mountain Festival Shopping Center this past Saturday, you may have noticed that it seemed odd for the restaurant to be closed on a weekend evening around 8 p.m.

That's because after nine years, the restaurant has closed. It happened Nov. 8.

Taped to the door were two fliers with the address to Stevi B's Pizza restaurant in Snellville, and a box containing Stevi B's cards.

"We regret our franchisee's decision to close the Stone Mountain CiCi’s location on Nov. 8," Geoff Goodman, Vice President of National Brand Excellence at CiCi's Pizza, said in an e-mail to Patch.

The restaurant opened at the location in August 2003.

"CiCi’s Pizza is extremely grateful to our loyal guests throughout the years and we hope the Stone Mountain community will consider visiting the Decatur location (3912 N. Druid Hills Road) or one of our nine Atlanta area locations for endless pizza, pasta, salad, soup and dessert buffet," the e-mail concluded.

Tell us: Did you frequent CiCi's Pizza on Rockbridge Road? Where will you go now that it is closed?

Well there goes Mtn Park night there at the end of the month! That stinks. We really enjoyed going to CiCi's.

Too many businesses are closing down in our area. What can we do. How can we get our area to be trendy so that businesses and locals will consume locally? I want Lilburn, and Mountain Park to be like Oakhurst and downtown Lawrenceville. Ideas anyone??? What can we do???

I'm afraid that we're in for more of this. Very sad situation, especially for those who are losing their businesses.

I was telling my daughter that we should go there for dinner tonight. I am sad.
