Greater Lilburn Business Expo Offers Community Face Time

Around 80 vendors are expected for third annual event.

Here's a chance for some face-to-face time with local businesses and fellow residents of Lilburn.

The third annual Greater Lilburn Business Expo is scheduled  5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Berkmar High School gymnasium. Featured will be around 80 local businesses — all offering door prizes — in a get-to-know-us environment.

The event is produced by the Berkmar Business/Technology Department in partnership with the Lilburn Business Association, Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce and Solutions Marketing.

The tie-in with Berkmar has been strong the past three years. Students in the school's Business/Technology Department help plan and set up the expo; "student ambassadors" welcome exhibitors and help them move their materials into the exhibit area. Food concessions will be offered by the Berkmar Culinary Arts Department.

“This event is quickly becoming a Berkmar tradition; one that our students and teachers look forward to planning every year," Berkmar Principal Ken Johnson said in an event press release. "More importantly, the Expo is a win-win event as our students apply their classroom knowledge and skills to provide our businesses an opportunity to showcase their services and products to our community.”
