House Hunt: Great Schools, Great Deals

Take a look at some homes for sale that are below market value!

Lilburn has a number of excellent schools that draw young families to our community.  It's a point of pride, and makes home buying and selling a little easier here than it is in other areas of Atlanta.  Still, foreclosures, short sales and homes below-market-value abound.

Today, we once again take a look at some homes that are below market value in some great locations. (Some homes are unincorporated Lilburn.)

2645 Kinnett Dr.
This home is in the Shiloh school cluster, and is only $80,000.  A comparable home is for sale for $149,900.  Located in the Cherokee Woods East subdivision, this home has 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths.  It is move-in ready, with a lovely kitchen with white cabinets and stainless steel appliances, a neutral color scheme and hardwood floors on the main level.  The neighborhood has a clubhouse and a pool.

814 Hickory Ridge Rd.
This is a cute, clean all-brick home that only costs $70,000! The other homes in Lee Acres subdivision average around $100,000.  This ranch has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths with a neutral color scheme.  (One bathroom is the exception - it's a robin's egg blue.)  The school district is fantastic, with Knight Elementary, Trickum Middle and Parkview High.  Your payments would be less than $500 per month.

4358 Shady Dr.
This enormous home is a modest $149,900.  It's in the Berkmar school cluster.  With 5 bedrooms and 4.5 baths, this would be perfect for a large family or someone who simply loves beauty and space. The home has unique architectural details on the interior and exterior, including cathedral ceilings and columns.  The listing claims the home needs some TLC.
