A look at restaurant inspections conducted by the health department in Greater Lilburn.

Below are this week's results of recent Gwinnett County restaurant inspections in Greater Lilburn by the East Metro Health District, which covers Gwinnett, Rockdale and Newton counties. Each report includes a synopsis of some of the deficiencies found by the inspector.

Violations cited: Clean onion and lettuce slicer stored on cardboard surface that had food debris. Corrected on site. Ham was on the prep line for use longer than the use-by time. Corrected on site.

Previous scores: 81/B on Oct. 3, 2011 and 95/A on March 15, 2011

Inspection type: Complaint

Violations cited: The ice machine had an accumulation of pink mold on one of the internal chutes and on other internal surfaces. This was the third consecutive violation of this code and must be corrected by Feb. 14. Food containers, plates and a bowl for salsa were still dirty after cleaning, also the third consecutive violation of this code, which must be corrected by Feb. 14. Some foods - sliced tomato, diced tomato, and a wedge of cheese - weren't kept cold enough.
