Grayson Hot Tamale Chili Cookoff To Be Largest Yet!

For the ninth year, the city of Grayson will play host to the Hot Tamale Chili Cookoff, an event produced by the Greater Eastside Chamber of Commerce (GECC), and benefitting charities in Grayson, Loganville and Snellville.

This year’s festivities will be held on Saturday, November 16th from 11:00-4:00, in Grayson City Park, and will include arts and craft vendors, activities for the kids, eight music acts, and over 35 chili competitors!

Jamie Dempsey, President of GECC, had this to say: “This event always reminds us in the Chamber, of the important relationship between the business community and the community at large. It’s an opportunity for folks from all over the surrounding area to come out, enjoy a Saturday of fun, food, and music, and be a part of something important, especially in the current economy.”

“While the Chamber of Commerce supports businesses in three cities (Loganville, Snellville, and Grayson), it was born in Grayson, and has a love for the city of Grayson. We look forward to seeing this event continue to grow and be a fun way for people in the area to help give back to the community!” Dempsey said.
