• June 14 is Flag Day, as designated by the American Continental Congress on this day in 1777. It is a day to fly the American flag proud and with patriotism. It was on this day in 1956 that President Dwight David Eisenhower signed a U.S. Congressional Resolution to add the words "Under God" to the American Pledge of Allegiance.
• June 14 is also Family History Day widely celebrated by geneaologists of every age.
