It's going to be a beautiful Tuesday in Lilburn!

Weather:

  • With a sunrise at 6:25 a.m. and sunny skies, forecasters predict a high of 88. We'll keep you updated with weather alerts here and on the Lilburn Patch Facebook page.

Georgia's Clean Air Campaign has stepped us down from a smog alert today - the air quality index of 96 is on the high end of moderate especially for those who are unusually sensitive to air pollution.

Hollywood, Holidays & Observances:

  • World Sauntering Day ... my favorite exercise .... sauntering. It's a great day to take a leisurely stroll through the park, along the Greenway Trail, or just down Lilburn's Main Street. Tomorrow you can work off the calories consumed during the celebratory lasagna in honor of Garfield's Birthday and the cookies consumed in deference to the Oreo Cookie Day!
  • Of historical significance, the U.S. Congress approved the Civil Rights Act on June 19, 1964.
