• It's going to be a beautiful day for the Lilburn Farmers' Market and Lilburn Idol. Mostly sunny skies with a high of 84 as we head into the weekend that has a chance of thunderstorms on Sunday. Georgia's Clean Air Campaign is forecasting an air quality of 73, which is MODERATE; People who are unusually sensitive to air pollution should consider reducing prolonged or heavy exertion. We'll keep you updated with weather alerts here and on the Lilburn Patch Facebook page.

• June 8 is Best Friend Day. This is not to be confused with Facebook Friends, nor does it mean you can't have more than ONE best friend. Celebrate it by sharing something decadent, as today is also Name Your Poison Day. Mine? Chocolate of course! 

• We keep coming back to donuts today. It's National Jelly-Filled Donut Day, so stop by the Krispy Kreme on Highway 78, say "hello" to Lilburn's Police Department who will be there throughout the weekend and celebrate with a raspberry filled.

• There's still time to register your Home and Business Monitored Alarm Systems online. You must register by June 15 to be in compliance with Lilburn's ordinance or you will be subject to a fine.
