5 Things You Need to Know, May 17

Thins you need to know as you start your day!

Weather: It’s going to feel like a typical summer day with a high of 85 with a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon; the low will be in the low 60’s. Sunrise is at 6:31 am and sunset is at 8:33 pm.

Though we enjoy return of sunny weather those with allergies have been suffering with higher than moderate pollen counts. Because of winds, however, the pollen levels today – and on Friday – should be falling into the moderate range. Predominant pollens include Oak, Hickory, Pecan and Birch.

Gas: Gas prices continue to drop and are at $3.42 around town. Notably, the Murphy USA at 3950 Lawrenceville Highway, Kroger at Five Forks (use your discount for more savings) and Quik Trip at 4900 Stone Mountain Highway. Before you head out for the day, check out our Commute Widget to check on traffic and gas!
