Officials in Walton County Investigating a Suspicious Death - Loganville Patch

Brandon Rhinehart, 26, of Loganville, died on April 9, 2013, two days after he sustained a beating, allegedly at the hands of two Loganville woman. Loganville Deputy Police Chief Dick Lowry confirmed Rhinehart's death is part of an open investigation.

"We can't draw any conclusions until we get the toxicology and autopsy results, but it is an open investigation at this time," Lowry said.

According to the Loganville Police reports, officers responded to Bay Creek Crossing at about 6:32 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, in connection with a report of a dispute. Rhinehart was found staggering in the middle of the roadway at the intersection of Bay Creek Crossing and Bay Creek Crossing. He reportedly was limping and clutching his side with blood dripping from a wound over his left eye.

A Lawrenceville woman who allegedly left her 18-month-old son at a Smyrna apartment complex last Wednesday and never came to pick him up at the designated time because she was arrested on a prostitution charge in Atlanta faces a new charge in Cobb County.

Laura Marie Robbins was arrested Tuesday in Cobb on a charge of contributing to the deprivation fo a minor, according to online jail records.

The child was placed in the care of the Cobb Division of Family and Children Services.

Man Charged with Sexual Exploitation of a Child - Athens Patch

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation provided information to the Athens-Clarke County Police Department through Operation Guardian Innocence.

After a joint investigation of about three months, officils executed a search warrant at 202 Acadia Drive around 9:30am on April 10. Officers seized and analyzed computers, cell phones, and iPads.

Second Suspect in East Cobb Robbery Arrested - East Cobb Patch

The second suspect who allegedly used an electronic stun device to incapacitate a man he lured to an East Cobb apartment complex under the guise of a cash vehicle purchase has been arrested.

Levar Christian Rhea was arrested Saturday at the Westminster Square apartment on Windy Hill Road, weeks after the March 15 incident at the Grand Villas Apartments in East Cobb.

Dunwoody Teens Battle Great White Shark off Fort Lauderdale - Dunwoody Patch

The players were on a charter boat off Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The video aired on WPEC-TV. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution identified the teens as Dunwoody High Schoolers.

Tyler Perry Tells E.T. His Plans for Expansion in SW Atlanta - Cascade Patch

Tyler Perry made news on Entertainment Tonight when he shared that he is planning, "a huge expansion," at his southwest Atlanta complex in the Greenbriar Mall area.

According to the AJC, Perry will produce two projects for Oprah Winfrey’s OWN cable channel, including the drama “The Haves and Have Nots,” set to premiere next month. There is some speculation that the announced expansion will coincide with the new productions.
