Church's Chicken Reportedly Robbed in Lilburn

The Church's Chicken in Lilburn was allegedly robbed at gunpoint last week.

According to the Gwinnett County Police report, an armed man walked into the back office of the 4895 Stone Mountain Hwy. establishment around 11:20 a.m. June 10. Three employees were inside the office.

He pointed a gun at the workers and demanded all the money, instructing them to put the cash in a brown bag inside his backpack. Using his firearm, the suspect also struck one of the employees in his right side using his firearm.

After ordering them to get into the restaurant's freezer, the suspect closed the door on them and left with the undisclosed amount of cash. The employees waited a few minutes and then called 911.

The neighboring businesses told police that they didn't see anyone matching that description in the area that morning.

The suspect is described as being a black male wearing a black mask, black hooded long sleeves and black pants.
