 Good morning, Lilburn. Here’s a digital check list for Monday, June 13.

  1. How about that rain? The rain gauge at Lilburn Patch’s headquarters — located between the potted tomatoes and roses on the back deck — measured 1.28 inches this weekend. We had some wind, which knocked power out for a while at the intersection of Five Forks-Trickum and Killian Hill roads, but our lawns and gardens really needed the wet stuff.  But we’re back to the oven with a forecast of 95 degrees today.
  2. Good of the order: The 2011-12 city budget is the highlight of the agenda on tonight’s Lilburn City Council meeting at . The budget will be presented for a public hearing before the council is expected to vote on its approval. () Remember, you can have your say at every city council meeting, so if you want to get something off your chest, this is your chance. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
  3. The dedicated few: You may not yet be aware of the efforts of a handful of people — mostly merchants and city leaders — who aim to revitalize Old Town Lilburn. The new meets tonight at 5:30 at 96 Main Street. Come back to Lilburn Patch to find out more of what’s happening in downtown.
  4. Reaching out to kids: Vacation Bible School kicks off at many local churches today, including , and . VBS programs are dotted all over the summer calendar. .
