1. What? No 90s? This must be a typo, but Weather.com is taking a break from forecasting high temps in the 90s for the next several days. The high temps in the next five days are expected to be in the 80s. It’s not until Monday when 90 is back in the forecast. Today? High of 86, 60-percent chance of storms, which are expected to begin in the afternoon.
2. Vote With Quarters: begins Friday at 7 p.m. in . It will be your first chance to see local performers put themselves out there on stage for all to see. Bring a bag of quarters for the show. The audience can vote for their favorite performances at 25 cents per vote
3. Mid-Week Fill ’Er Up: According to GeorgiaGasPrices.com,  as of midnight, $3.46 was the lowest price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in Lilburn (Kroger on Five Forks-Trickum Road; Murphy USA on Lawrenceville Highway; QuikTrip on Stone Mountain Highway). If you see lower prices in the area, let us know.
4. Summer Solstice Revisited: Tuesday might have been the longest day of the year, but it wasn’t the latest-ending. The latest sunset of the year in Lilburn actually is next Tuesday. For real. Sunset is listed as 8:52 p.m. on the 28th. It’ll be about a minute earlier until then.
5. Did You Know? Lilburn’s namesake was never a resident of the area. Lilburn Trigg Meyers was the superintendent of the Seaboard Airline Railway, which ran the first railroad through the area.
