Lilburn CID Completes Highway 29 Landscape Project

Median beautification launches CID's efforts to maintain area landscaping

Press release from Lilburn CID June 12, 2012

(LILBURN)—Extensive landscape improvements undertaken by the Lilburn Community Improvement District (CID) are now complete in the Highway 29 corridor.

The CID initiated the installation of new landscaping materials on eight highway median areas extending from Ronald Regan Parkway to the U.S. Post Office in Lilburn. The Highway 29 medians were added by the Georgia Department of Transportation.

According to Executive Director Gerald McDowell, completion of the landscaping effort signifies the start of new CID-driven initiatives to further increase the area’s attractiveness.

“The CID is planning to launch a new Highway 29 maintenance program to be fully implemented during the next months,” McDowell said. “The CID is working with the City of Lilburn, Gwinnett County and our commercial property owners to begin routinely removing trash, cutting grass and improving the corridor’s overall curb appeal.”

To coordinate a Lilburn CID ride-through for more information about this and other planned improvement projects, please contact Gerald McDowell at 678-380-1000  or  gmcdowell@lilburncid.com.
