News Nearby: Gwinnett to Hold Public Meeting on Atlanta-Charlotte Rail Service

The June 4th meeting is one of three across the region

The city of Suwanee in Gwinnett County will be host to an upcoming public meeting about passenger rail service between Atlanta and Charlotte, N.C.

The meeting takes place 4 p.m. - 7 p.m, June 4 at Suwanee City Hall. It is one of three such meetings in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina to gather feedback on the Passenger Rail Corridor Investment Plan.

The state Department of Transportation is leading the project.

It will extend about 280 miles between Georgia and North Carolina, including connections to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, the proposed Charlotte Gateway Station and more.
